DSCF2098

Yippee, it’s Wednesday…the week is almost half over!  I am squeaking in a card using the As You See It sketch; I turned it on its side:

After Sunday’s card, I was hankering for some more vintage stuff, and I have TONS of Halloween vintage stamps, so I pulled out this little cat on a broom from Victorian Greetings I got last year and some MME Happy Haunting DSP:

Everything was stamped in Basic Black or Smoky Slate on Naturals White and Cajun Craze, and I also used Gorgeous Grunge and retired Rubbernecker and MFT Halloween sets as well.  There’s a bit of ribbon, twine, sponging and sequins…I loaded it up!

Try Stampin’ On Tuesday 238

DSCF2025

Hi everyone!  It’s Tuesday, and it’s time for another sketch from Try Stampin’ On Tuesday!  So here’s the sketch, and the theme, if you choose to use it, is “Hooray”!

I think perhaps I could say I used the theme “BOO-ray” on my card!  I used the Howl-o-ween Treat stamp set for my funky Halloween card today, giving Miss Pumpkin a Pear Pizzazz witch hat and some black glimmery accents!  What do you think:

The “boo” came from the Happy Scenes set, and I used a circle punch to punch it out, then backed it with a little piece of black glimmer paper as well.  The Boo To You framelits make it easy to cut out the hat as well as the little stars!

And my background is the Happy Haunting DSP!  Fun!  Hope you’ll play along with us.  You can share your creation at the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday blog, or on our Facebook page as well!

Off to have some more fun at Dutch Wonderland!

Another Banner Blessings

DSCF2084

Happy Monday, peeps!  I have a quick card to show you today using last week’s Try Stampin’ On Tuesday’s sketch.  Here is the sketch:

I really wanted to make another Halloween/fall card, but I needed some encouragement cards, and since I already had Banner Blessings on my desk (are there really people out there who put their stamps away AS SOON as they are finished with them?  I didn’t think so!), so it seemed perfect.  Here ya go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Kinda Eclectic Banner Blessings TSOT237 Stampin Up

I also used this animal print DSP from the Go Wild paper stack, which is really outside my comfort zone and seems a little incongruous for this set, but I went with it!  The vertical panel is the Watermelon Wonder Color Me Irresistible DSP, which has these cool shiny polka dots on it.  I stamped my sentiment on vellum, then added a tiny little piece of white cardstock behind the banner so that the verse would show through better.  My circular piece is stamped with the sunburst from Kinda Eclectic:

DSCF2085

It’s really a simple card, but definitely not my usual style!  Thanks for visiting today!

Paper Players 264

DSCF2074

Happy Sunday, everyone!  It’s time for another Paper Players challenge, and today, my sweet friend Claire has a boss sketch for us:

I couldn’t wait to play with this sketch!  And can you believe it?!  After I said I never use Rich Razzleberry, I have used it two times in a week!  Crazy!  I just got my Vintage Leaves stamp set and Leaflet Framelits, so I had to put them to use with some seasonal Farmer’s Market papers:

I used a retired Gingham wheel, stamped in Chocolate Chip, for my horizontal panel; the embossed panel was created with the new Softly Falling EF; and the tag was created with the Tags & Labels dies and stamped with a sentiment and “dots” from the current Paper Pumpkin kit:

DSCF2078

Everything was sponged with Crumb Cake ink, and I wish I had done a better job with the leaf….it looks a bit splotchy!  Oh well!  I can’t wait to see what you all do with it…and be sure to check out the DT creations:

Have a blessed day!

MTS091 and CASology165 Joyful Heart

DSCF2070

Happy Friday, peeps!  A quick post today, and a quick card using the Banner Blessings set that has barely gotten any ink!  Here’s my bright, joyful card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Joyful Stampin Up

I used some Schoolhouse papers; stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point ink and colored it in just a wee bit with a blender pen and Soft Sky ink before cutting it with the banner die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlet set, then added some stars!  The sketch is from Match The Sketch:

as well as the Casology challenge this week, which is to use circles!  Thanks for popping by!

Tonight is soccer practice:

Happy Fall, everyone!  It’s a beautiful cool day here in PA, a perfect day to usher in autumn!  Cassidy has off school today for Yom Kippur, so we have all kinds of things planned!  First, I wanted to share a Christmas card for Merry Monday’s watercolor challenge:
I love to watercolor, but my first attempt at this card was not too good, so I tried again!  What do you think:
DSCF2042
I used SU’s watercolor paper, giving the whole piece a wash of Soft Sky before I even stamped this little chickadee (which Maria tells me is from Stampendous...thanks, Maria!)  in Black Stazon.  I wish you could see the detail, he’s so sweet!
DSCF2044
The photo doesn’t really do it justice!  I colored him with Basic Black, Smoky Slate and Crumb Cake; the berries are Real Red and Cherry Cobbler, and the snow has a little bit of Soft Sky; I also did some outlining with Pool Party.  I love using my Aquapainter for these kinds of images!  I added a sentiment in Smoky Slate, and although it’s difficult to see, a few snowflakes in the upper right corner because it looked a little off-balanced!

And of course, I added some DD glitter to the snow!  Cassidy liked the card from this angle, so here’s another photo!

Early this morning, I went outside and saw this little fellow sitting on my petunias:

We always see praying mantises around this time of the year, but they’re usually on my holly bushes!  Cassidy was not too sure about him, though:

Enjoy your first day of fall!

DSCF2037

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  I strayed from my SU goodies to make a seasonal card today, using the sketch from Match The Sketch:

and the Kraft Journal’s challenge of Anything Goes-Pumpkin, and the City Crafter Challenge of “Fall”!!  I jump at any chance to use this little W+9 Pumpkin, so I put it to use with some Simple Stories Harvest Lane DSP,  a Darice embossing folder and a Lil Inker’s Stitched Circles die:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Happy Fall Pumpkin

I did use a strip of SU DSP from Farmer’s Market, along with some Linen Thread; card base is Delightful Dijon, circle is Crumb Cake, and I’ve used mats of Tip Top Taupe, Old Olive and Tangelo Twist.  Ink colors are Tangelo Twist, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.  My sentiment is from Mixed Holiday Sentiments by My Creative Time!  I plan to put a birthday sentiment on the inside for a special fall b-day!

And speaking of pumpkins, we picked our first one yesterday….we only have 8 more, and they’re small, but we’re thrilled to have some that actually grew!

FMS204

DSCF2020

Hi everyone!  Hope you had a great weekend, I know we did!  I have another quick card today using the Freshly Made Sketches sketch:

and the reverse side of some of the Into the Woods DSP I used earlier in the week:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Endless Thanks Stampin Up

I only use Rich Razzleberry under threat of torture or coercion; it’s not that I don’t like it, I just don’t gravitate towards any shade of purple!  So when I saw this viney pattern, I thought to myself, “You should challenge yourself to USE that”!  So I pulled out Endless Thanks, because that little fern stamp seemed like it would be a good match for the DSP!  I stamped the sentiment full-strength, but for the fainter image, my fellow team member Nance shared a tip for stamping off using photopolymer stamps:  stamp once on a tissue, (like a Kleenex), then on your paper!  It worked beautifully!  For some reason, stamping off on paper just doesn’t give them same effect as rubber stamps!  I love the softer look:

DSCF2017

I added some flowers from the same set and a little baker’s twine bow to finish my simple card.  I did add a diecut border in Rich Razzleberry to accentuate this purple that I never use, LOL!

We had a great day on Saturday at the Jersey shore, celebrating my step-FIL’s 90th birthday!

Paper Players 263

DSCF1924-001

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It’s time for another Paper Players challenge with this week’s clean and simple challenge hosted by Laurie!  She is the QUEEN of CAS, I must say!  Here’s your theme:

I have to admit, “scenes” are not my forte, especially CAS scenes!  There are several really cute scenery-themed stamp sets in the SU catalogs this year, so in anticipation of that, I chose a really, really old set for my card today!  Remember A Tree for All Seasons?”

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 263 Tree for All Seasons

My club girls were talking about this set last week and I remembered I still had it!  It was one of the first hostess sets I ever earned!  I stamped the fall scene on some Very Vanilla and colored it in with a sponge dauber and some markers, then die cut it out:

DSCF1925

I used a Project Life stamp set from last year called Holiday Cheer for the gratitude sentiment, along with the leaves that I stamped on the front and inside:

DSCF1927

The Thanksgiving sentiment is from last year’s Paper Pumpkin kit and the swirlies on the front are from an Impression Obsession autumn set called Autumn Squares (I think!).  I added some striped ribbon that is currently in the catalog and some random sequins from my stash.  It all is sitting atop an Early Espresso card base, which has rounded corners made with the PL corner rounder.  And the layout is from CAS(e) This Sketch 141, although they’ll probably kick me out, because it’s not really that CAS!!!:

It was really fun creating this little scene with an oldie but goodie stamp set!  I hope you’ll play along with the Players as well!  You can check out all the samples at each of the designers’ blogs, or on the PP blog:

Earlier last week at dusk so the bees wouldn’t bother us so much, we picked apples from our apple trees, which are loaded with apples .  Cassidy had her boots on and was helping Grampy:
